We’re hiring an “Automation & Instrumentation Engineer” for a leading Company.

Job Description:

• Review technical solutions provided by E&C on some projects and / or develop technical solution or options for state-of-the art automation systems (process control, instrumentation, SCADA) in compliance, industry standards and project specifications.
• Preliminary material selection and BOQ estimation.
• Participate to cost budget estimation and check / create the technical offer.
• Support risk assessment, clarify scope and provide technical input to ensure a safe and reliable solution.
• Support the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Prepare and support the procurement by identifying, pre-selecting and qualifying the suppliers of automation equipment and subcontractors for the installation.
• Prepare Actual BOQ and prepare materials specifications according to international standards and project specifications.
• Support in preparation of the technical documentation (network architecture, process control strategy, program diagrams, functional analysis, maintenance, spare parts, certificates, user manual etc.).
• Support and supervision during installation.
• Support / participation during pre-commissioning & commissioning; Fixing of bugs / punchiest.
• Support operating teams in identifying and fixing of bugs in installed automation systems.
• Perform Design Validation (in case of appointed Design Authority) on demand.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in electrical power or electronics or communications. (Power Dep. Automation section is preferred).
• 3: 5 years of experience in Engineering/projects (Process, Automations & Instrumentation).
• 1: 2 Operation process or troubleshooting (Oil & Gas, Industrial Gases, power stations).
• Certified for SIEMENS SIMATIC Automation System, SIMATIC HMI and SIMATIC NET Industrial Communication or equivalent (is a must).
• Instrumentation calibration training (aware of varies suppliers and types).
• Technical Expertise: LV Electrical, Process Control, Automation, Instrumentation types of supply and installation.
• Aware of Process, Automation & Instrumentation Engineering/constructions as following:
  1) Flow sheets / P&ID diagram.
  2) Standards of programming.
  3) Interlock and control loop diagrams.
  4) Control System configuration.
  5) Logic Diagrams and Logic description preparations.
  6) Mimics pictures and SCADA programming.
  7) Prepare I/O list & PLC panel layout.
  8) Level 1 and level 2 programming.
  9) All communications protocols. FAT and SAT test procedure.

Skills:

• Proficient in English and Arabic, Computer Literate and report writing skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
